We're thrilled to have the lovely and talented Kim Oedekoven as one of our guest designers this month and are excited to get to know her better today! Be sure to follow Kim here at Studio Calico to keep up with her and see more of her beautiful work.

Hi there. It's Kim Oedekoven, @krodesigns, and I'm very happy to be one of your guest designers this month using the "Hey Girl" Planner Kit! I love to play with all sorts of things like fiber art, planning, scrapbooking, and Project Life® in all different types of medium. In my former life, I taught quilting, journaling, and paper arts classes using textile techniques to people of all walks of life: from blind school students to therapy workshops for cancer survivors to at-risk pregnancy patients. I feel like everyone has a story, and I love to be the happy helper in getting those stories told and documenting the everyday!

Professionally, I have starred in three educational sewing videos for use in high school classrooms and shown my own fiber artwork across the country.

Week 3 Intro Page - April Meal & Grocery Planner – I made a series of tabs by making a U-shaped cut on the top of the patterned page and flipping it up to expose the grid paper behind. This makes it super easy to get right to the week I need in my meal and grocery planner.

Walmart List - April Meal & Grocery Planner – I initially ripped the patterned paper to reveal the black dots on the next facing page. I then adhered them together and stamped along the edge with the 3" x 4" Meal Planning stamp set.

Morning Sunshine - April Meal & Grocery Planner – Using the clear circle face sticker as the center, I stamped the slightly bent word "breakfast" around it. I then added the ideas for my breakfast offerings as sun rays. The triangles are the leftover cut away patterned paper from the standard size traveler's notebook, which comes with the kit.

I created several more projects in this wonderful TN using the "Hey Girl" Planner Kit. You can check out my SC Gallery to see the rest of my projects.  I also did a whole insert walkthrough that you're more than welcome to enjoy!
