This week our scrapbook sketch is a 12" x 12" layout featuring a 4" x 12" vertical photo on the left side of the page followed by a narrow strip of patterned paper and then a cascade of large numbers with journaling in the bottom right-hand corner. Our notebook sketch has a title over a vertical photo on the left page and a vertical photo over journaling and repeated stamped images on the right. And our pocket page sketch features a 3" x 4" photo with a small arrow embellishment and a 3" x 4" photo with journaling and digital stamping directly on top. Creative Team member Kelly Noel is joining us this week and sharing her take on the week's scrapbook sketch! Be sure to follow Kelly to see more of her work and keep up with her.
Our scrapbook sketch comes from Catherine Davis's Let Me Count the Ways layout:

Our notebook sketch comes from Marie Lottermoser's Book Club spread:

And our pocket page sketch comes from Pam Baldwin's Hey Girl Documenter + Digital spread:

And here's Kelly's take on our scrapbook sketch:
I loved Catherine's layout the moment I saw it and knew it would be the one I used to inspire my project. I'm a big fan of her clean and striking design sense and was inspired by the large photo on her layout. I've been meaning to dive into the world of Traveler's Notebooks, so this sketch seemed like the perfect opportunity to try! I printed a large photo to fill almost the entire left side of the spread—I love this photo of me and my littlest, Sawyer. He loves to hold my hand and I'm taking advantage of it every chance I get (my tween and teenager never hold my hand anymore—they grow up too fast!). The strip of patterned paper along the edge of the large photo was also inspired by the sketch. I love the way it bridges the gap between the photo and the other side of the spread.

Once I had the base of my design laid out, I stamped the "explore more" circular stamp from the main Scrapbook Kit in a random cascading pattern on the right side of the spread. I love the way it carries your eye across the page. I added a phrase sticker for my title and placed my journaling where Catherine did in the sketch. I love the way this turned out!

Now it's your turn! Make a project using one of this week's sketches as a starting point, then share it in the Studio Calico gallery. Use the hashtag #SCsketch to make it easier for other members to find! Leave us a link to your project by June 25th in the comments here to be entered to win a $5 gift card to Studio Calico Shop. This week's sketch winner will be announced in the June 30th Layout of the Week post.

Well I've made a card, scrapbook page and a documenter spread so why note make a notebook spread (will go in my new notebook insert I'm waiting for from SC) as well using the scrapbook sketch?! Do I need to say I love the sketch?
